Engine Management Light
Hi there, my engine management light is permanently on orange, I'm told it's ok if it doesn't go to red but does anyone else have this problem or knows what causes it.

The light doesn't change colour, it only stays orange, you need to pull up any fault codes you have, then we can see what the problem may be.
Depending on what model you have, MK1 or facelift MK2, you need to do the following, and then log down the codes, which will start with the letter P
Turn key to "ON" - right before where starter engages
Back on click to "OFF"
on
off
on
done quickly.

It's been on a diagnostic machine and the fault it came up with has been dealt with, even the mechanic is at loss as to why it's happened lol

If there is no fault, the fault codes will need clearing out of the ECU memory, most code readers can do the job.
Re: Engine Management Light
thanks for that, I'll give it a try
